What are the three calculation modes?
1) Find X% of a number (e.g. 20% of 500 = 100). 2) Find what percentage X is of Y (e.g. 100 is 20% of 500). 3) Find the percentage change from one value to another (e.g. from 500 to 600 is +20%).
How is percentage change calculated?
It is ((new value - old value) / |old value|) x 100. A positive result means an increase, negative means a decrease.
